Eleanor of Champagne : ウィキペディア英語版
Eleanor of Champagne
Eleanor of Blois (French: ''Eléonore'') (1102–1147) was a daughter of Stephen II, Count of Blois, and of Adela of Normandy. She married Raoul I of Vermandois and became mother of Hugh II of Vermandois (1127 to 1212), count of Vermandois and of Valois, then monk in 1160. Eleonor's marriage with Raoul I of Vermandois was dissolved at the request of Eleanor of Aquitaine, whose sister Petronilla of Aquitaine was in love with Raoul. This led to a war with Theobald II of Champagne, who was Eleonor's brother. The war lasted two years (1142–1144) and ended with the occupation of Champagne by the royal army. Eleonor died in 1147.
